DISK CARTRIDGE AND DISK DRIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge which makes various kinds of disks identifiable and a disk driver. SOLUTION: The disk cartridge is provided with a reflection section for identifying the kinds of the disks and the disk driver is provided with a photodetector for irradiating the reflection section with light and identifying the kinds of the disks by detecting the light reflected therefrom. A multiplicity of the identification marks which can identify the kinds of the disks while changing the reflection angles and reflection quantity of the reflection section disposed at the disk cartridge can be provided and the kinds of the disks can be identified by the simple structure of detecting the reflected light by the photodetector.
