PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress substantial lowering of transmission efficiency caused by the retransmission of data without increasing an error rate. SOLUTION: In a transmission apparatus 10A, when transmitting the signal of three or more bits by one symbol, if a retransmission request is received from the radio station of a communicating party, bits (high-order bit) hard to generate errors provided by processing in a modulation part 11 are not retransmitted but only bits (low-order bits) easy to generate errors are retransmitted. In a reception apparatus 10B of the communicating party, error correction processing is performed by using the bits (high-order bits) hard to generate errors stored in memories 16 and 17 and the bits (low-order bits) easy to generate errors provided by retransmission. |
