PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver, a television program output method and a computer program for providing an interface easy to comprehend and familiar for a general user when scheduling programs to be recommended. SOLUTION: The television receiver is provided with a symbol output means for outputting a plurality of symbol characters in respect to the scheduling algorithm of television programs, a selection input means for a viewer, who watches the symbol character, to accept the selection of one character, a list output means for outputting a program list programmed by the selected symbol character on the basis of the scheduling algorithm of that symbol character, and an adoption input means for accepting the entry of intention display presenting the symbol character related to the relevant program list is to be adopted. A television program output means is functioned for outputting the television program based on the program list related to the adopted symbol character.
