PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electronic blackboard system in which a more accurate synthesized image can be acquired while reducing the size of the system by reading out a still image and a handwriting image integrally. SOLUTION: An electronic blackboard system comprising a handwriting display section 110 where a format image or a data image is displayed on the surface of an endless sheet or a winding sheet and these images can be handwritten or erased is further provided with a section 120 for projecting a still image of an existing format or data onto the handwriting display section 110 according to an external designation and reading out, storing or reproducing a synthesized image handwritten onto the still image.
