PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information retrieval device capable of highly accurate information retrieval. SOLUTION: The information retrieval device is provided with a retrieval condition sentence input means for inputting a retrieval condition by a sentence, a means for deciding a center word expressing features of a retrieval condition sentence most for the retrieval condition, a means for respectively deciding the center word of a retrieval object sentence stored in a retrieval object information storage device, a means for respectively comparing the center word of the retrieval condition sentence and the center word of the retrieval object sentence decided in the means and calculating a matching degree, a means having synonym information for synonymously developing the center word in an information retrieval means having a means for displaying a retrieved result, and a means having antonym information for correcting synonymously developed information.
