PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ghost correcting circuit for liquid crystal display device in which a ghost can be exactly corrected with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The ghost correcting circuit for liquid crystal display device is provided with a delay circuit for generating the signals of two systems having a phase difference just for the number of steps corresponding to the number of phases to be simultaneously written on a liquid crystal panel, a level difference detecting circuit for calculating the difference of luminance levels between both the signals and a correction circuit for correcting the ghost on the basis of the luminance level difference of both the signals and a correction coefficient, and a correction coefficient control means is provided for changing the correction coefficient to be used in the correction circuit corresponding to the difference of the luminance levels between both the signals.
