PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to achieve improved uniformity of luminance all over the panel by increasing the thickness of the dielectric layer as it goes from the center toward the peripheral part of the panel. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a pair of sustaining electrodes, an upper dielectric layer(34) and a protection layer(35) formed in sequence on an upper substrate(31); and an address electrode(37X), a lower dielectric layer(38), barrier ribs(39) and a phosphor layer(40) formed in sequence on a lower substrate(36). The upper dielectric layer has a thickness increasing as it goes from the center toward the peripheral part of the panel. |
