PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new contents distribution route setting technique for setting an optimum contents distribution route for provided contents. SOLUTION: A gateway device is constituted, by being provided with a routing table in which contents distribution routes are described, to thereby perform selection of the contents distribution route. In such a case, the gateway device is provided with a storing means for storing information as to which contents distribution network is connected to each network interface and as to the attribute information of the network interface (1), a retrieving means for retrieving a network interface that fits service information about provided contents acquired from a contents distribution server by referring to the storing means (2), and a correcting means for correcting a contents distribution route to be described in the routing table according to the network interface retrieved by the retrieving means (3).
