PURPOSE: Provided is an apparatus for disposing of hard sludge in a thickening tank so as to increase operating rate of a calcification process by removing settled hard sludge using an additional device. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for disposing of hard sludge in a thickening tank with a fixed shaft vertically arranged in the center thereof, a rotating shaft(14) rotating around the fixed shaft, rake plates(16) horizontally coupled to the rotating shaft(14), and scrapers(18) attached under the rake plates(16), the apparatus comprises a moving means(30) moving in a direction of diameter of the thickening tank while moving in a direction of circumference of the thickening tank along with the rake plates(16), and a hard sludge disposing means(50) with one end coupled to the moving means(30) and the other end being in contact with the bottom of the tank(14), so that the disposing means pushes the hard sludge on the bottom of the tank toward the inner circumference wall of the tank.
