PURPOSE: A formation method for the rapids of urban rivers is provided to offer citizens better city environment and to form a pleasant habitat for creatures in water and a riverside. CONSTITUTION: The formation method for the rapids of urban rivers comprises the steps of building a foundation layer on the riverbed where rapids are placed, installing stepstones(2) provided with a connecting hook on the foundation layer, then binding the connecting hook with binder, driving wooden piles(9) on the foundation layer where the stepstones(2) are not placed to prevent the loss of base stone, driving view wood(3) for waterfowl in the riverbed of the upper and lower reaches of rapids, lining up vegetation rolls(4) on a river drift of the lower reaches of rapids, driving in a pile, planting water plants, then filling up with gravel and soil, planting branches of a willow tree around the view wood(3) installed on the river drift of the lower reaches of rapids, then binding the view wood(3) with cords.
