PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrolyte having excellent cycle characteristics and used in an electrochemical device such as a lithium battery, a lithium-ion battery, and an electric double layer capacitor, to provide electrolytic solution or solid electrolyte, and to provide a battery using the same. SOLUTION: The electrolyte for an electrochemical device composed of a compound expressed by a formula (1) and compounds expressed by formulas (2), (3), (4) is provided. Further, the electrolytic solution or solid electrolyte, and the battery using the electrolyte are provided.
