PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a rear-earth magnet containing nitrogen atoms without using any organic binder nor sintering method. SOLUTION: The rare-earth magnet is formed by making an electric current flow to part of magnetic power containing nitrogen, at least one kind of rare- earth element, and iron or cobalt or the mixture of the magnetic powder and nonmagnetic powder, and coupling parts of interfaces of the powders heated by heat generated when the electric current is made to flow. In addition, the magnet is made to have anisotropy by orienting the powder before the electric current is made to flow. Consequently, the residual magnetic flux density and coercive force of the rare-earth magnet are increased. |
