<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breakage of a part to be detected used for the detection of opening/closing of a lid body of electronic equipment. SOLUTION: A POS terminal is equipment for exposing an operation part of a card insertion port 18 whereto a card is inserted by opening a cover 10 which is a lid body provided to be opened and closed freely to a lower case 4 which is a part of a body case. The terminal is provided with a part 15 to be detected, which is provided to project to the cover 10, and is positioned in a place which does not interfere with an operation to the card insertion port 18 with the cover 10 opened and a place which does not project to the outside of the lower case 4, and a detection part 21 for detecting the part 15 to be detected when the cover 10 is closed. Since the part 15 to be detected does not thereby project to the outside of the lower case 4 when the cover 10 is opened and is positioned in a place which hardly receive an impact, a hand or the like hardly knocks against the part 15 to be detected, thus preventing the breakage of the part 15 to be detected.</p> |
