PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remotely setting method and apparatus thereof whereby a center-side apparatus connected with a network can perform the settings of remote-side apparatus connected with the network without leaking the secret settings to any third person. SOLUTION: In the remotely setting method and apparatus thereof, there are existent a center-side apparatus 10 and a plurality of remote-side apparatuses 11 whereto network IDs are so inputted respectively and previously as to be ciphered in the apparatuses 10, 11. Then, public-key cryptographs are so exchanged with each other between the center-side apparatus 10 and the remote- side apparatus 11 that the center-side apparatus 10 performs thereafter the settings of the remote-side apparatus 11. |
