PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degradation of a polymer PTC thermistor by preventing the oxidation of electrodes. SOLUTION: The polymer PCT thermistor is provided with a plate-shaped conductive polymer 1 having PTC characteristics and electrodes 2 and 3 joined to the polymer 1. The electrodes 2 and 3 are provided at positions separated, from edges of the two side faces 1a and 1b of the polymer 1 along side faces 1a and 1b and, in addition, resin films 4 and 5 coating the side faces 1a and 1b are formed so as to wrap the electrodes 2 and 3.
