PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planer ceramic heater securing stable power supply through a power supply terminal, capable of constantly obtaining heat generation/radiation, and excellent in durability. SOLUTION: The planer ceramic heater comprises a planer ceramic base material 1 with one main surface constituting a radiation/heat generation surface; a resistant heating element 2 embedded/arranged in the ceramic base material 1; a power supply terminal 3 with one end connected to the resistant heating element 2 and the other end led out to the other main surface side of the ceramic base material 1; a sintered aluminum nitride sleeve 5 engaged with/covering the led out power supply terminal 3 with one end surface attached to the ceramic base material 1 to oppositely contact the ceramic base material 1 surface; and a sealing glass layer 6 arranged on an end surface edge portion of the sintered aluminum nitride sleeve 5 oppositely contacting the ceramic base material 1 surface for sealing.
