The acoustical support panel according to the invention comprises a membrane of resilient material, such as one obtained with shredded used tire s, which is laminated on a base of compression resistant cellulose fibers. This panel has shown a noted increase of insulation from impact and aerial noises . It has an excellent dimensional stability and high resistance to compression.
