PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a down light of an electric power saving type mountable by utilizing an existing down light without reforming a ceiling. SOLUTION: The down light comprises a reflecting plate 1 with an inner face formed into a specular surface for reflecting the light of the lamp and a metal halide lamp socket 2 mounted on a ceiling portion 1a of the reflecting plate 1. The metal halide lamp socket 2 is replaceable with a lamp socket 6 of the existing down light. The reflecting plate 1 and the metal halide lamp socket 2 are mounted to be stored inside a fixed reflecting plate 5 of the existing down light. |
