PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably execute both image pickup and focus adjustment. SOLUTION: A pixel 0, 0 forming a color separation filter (a blue- transmission filter) and a pixel 1, 0 forming no color separation filter are provided with a photoelectric conversion portions SB and SW, respectively. The pixel 0, 0 is a pixel used for forming an image. The pixel 1, 0 is a pixel used for adjusting a focus. The photoelectric conversion portion SB for the pixel 0, 0 has an area larger than that of the photoelectric conversion portion SW for the pixel 1, 0. |
