PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of conventional four-direction switch using a contact spring disc for each of the five positions of four directions that for example, it can not correctly switch on a central switch means and tends to switch on other switches which should be activated only by tilting, when a tilting member pressed at an angle by mistake, not at an right angle correctly, to switch on the central switch means. SOLUTION: By using a movable contact means consisting of a contact spring piece 2b in a narrow long panel shape of a contact spring unit 2 made of a leaf spring capable of correctly maintaining a mounting position and a recovering spring piece 2c instead of a contact spring disc 11, the four-direction switch is structured with two individual members including a tilting member 1 having contact spring units in four directions and a operation knob 5. When operating the central switching means S, only the operation knob 5 vertically moves down and returns, and when operating switch means S1 to S4, the tilting member 1 and the operation knob 5 jointly work in order to eliminate wrong operation.
