PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure calculation method and apparatus, which can calculate a structure of an existing building without decomposing the existing building. SOLUTION: The building structure calculation apparatus is provided with an input means S10 for inputting respective design conditions including a size of a unit or the like, a primary design output means S11 for outputting primary design data on the basis of the respective inputted design conditions and a secondary design output means S13 for computing and outputting stress applied to a structure member based on seismic force and wind pressure force, and is also provided with an output means for calculating the structure and outputting the calculated result. As for cross section design data for the structure member, (a) using member cross section data S12A for each building stored in a storage means kept for each building or (b) extracted using member cross section data S12B extracted from the using member cross section data stored in the storage means on the basis of the respective design conditions can be selected.
