PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill processor capable of precisely detecting the skewing or protruding of a bill when pulling out and carrying separate a bundle of separate bills accumulated in a bill accumulation part. SOLUTION: When the bundle B' of separate bills is pulled out in the bill short-side direction from the accumulation part 7 by a bundle carrying means 6, a pair of passage detecting sensors 3a and 3b detect the passing time of the bill end part in the respective positions. On the basis of the slippage between the passing times detected by the passage detecting sensors 3a and 3b, a control part as determining means determines the presence of skewing of bill. Before the bundle B' of separate bills pulled out from the accumulation part 7 by the bundle carrying means 6 is carried to a bundle bill processing part 1 in the bill long-side direction, the control part as determining means determines the presence of long-side directional protruding of bill on the basis of the detection of bill end parts by a pair of end part detecting sensors 4a and 4b.
