PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided, in which barrier ribs are formed into zig-zag shapes so as to increase the area deposited with the phosphor, to thereby achieve improved luminance. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises an upper substrate; a lower substrate opposed to the upper substrate; a plurality of barrier ribs(8) formed into zig-zag shapes between the upper substrate and the lower substrate; and address electrodes(X) formed into zig-zag shapes on the lower substrate in such a manner that the address electrodes are parallel to the barrier ribs; and first electrodes(Y) and second electrodes(Z) formed across the address electrodes. The first electrodes and the second electrodes are formed between first bent portions(14) and second bent portions(15) of the barrier ribs. A discharge cell(10) of the plasma display panel is formed between the first and second bent portions. |
