PURPOSE: A process for preparing Glycyrrhiza uralensis extract RGE increasing the expression of protein disulfide isomerase is provided, thereby the Glycyrrhiza uralensis extract RGE can be used as an additive for increasing the expression of protein disulfide isomerase during cultivation of animal cells. CONSTITUTION: The process for preparing Glycyrrhiza uralensis extract RGE increasing the expression of protein disulfide isomerase comprises the steps of: pulverizing Glycyrrhiza uralensis in a size of 80 to 120 meshes, adding 150 to 250 ml of distilled water into 30g of Glycyrrhiza uralensis powder, and heating the mixture in a water bath at 100 deg. C for 3 to 5 hours to concentrate the mixture; centrifuging the concentrated solution at 40 deg. C and 20,000xg for 8 to 15 minutes to obtain a concentrate; adding 4 g of charcoal activated powder to 100 ml of Glycyrrhiza uralensis extract and stirring the mixture at low temperature for 25 to 35 minutes; filtering the mixture to remove charcoal activated powder; and adding distilled water into the mixture to regulate the optical density at 300 nm to 1. |
