PURPOSE: A cooling fan used in a spindle motor of a machine tool is provided to effectively cool heat generated from a fan motor and to prevent dust from being stacked between a hub and the fan motor by forming a blade at an inner portion of the hub. CONSTITUTION: A cooling fan(10) includes a fan motor(20). The fan motor(20) includes a motor housing(22) having a driving chamber(20a) and a cover(24) for covering the driving chamber(20a). Flanges(22a,24a) are attached to the motor housing(22) and the cover(24), respectively. The flanges(22a,24a) are coupled to each other by a bolt(B) so that the motor housing(22) is assembled with the cover(24). A rotating shaft(25) is rotatably installed in the motor housing(22). A rotor(26) is arranged around the rotating shaft(25) and a stator(28) is arranged around the rotor(26). The cooling fan(10) has a hub(30) and a plurality of blades(40). The blades(40) are formed in an inner portion of the hub(30) for blowing air.
