PURPOSE: An X-ray detector and a method for fabricating the same are provided to effectively remove the charge trapping in an optical conversion part while minimizing the rise in current leakage. CONSTITUTION: An X-ray detector includes an insulating substrate, gate and data lines(101,114) disposed on the insulating substrate to intersecting each other perpendicularly for defining pixels, thin film transistors(115) disposed on the perpendicular intersection parts between the gate and data lines and including an etching restraining layer, first transparent electrodes(112) formed on the pixels, and common electrode lines(116) formed on the first transparent electrodes in parallel to the data lines. Each of the pixels has second transparent electrodes, one(122b) of the second transparent electrodes is formed at a front part electrically contacting a corresponding thin film transistor via a contact hole(120), and the other one(122a) is formed at a rear part to be extended to an upper part of a next thin film transistor. A second insulating film is formed between the second transparent electrode at the front part and the first transparent electrode of the each of the pixels.
