<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a conventional cache memory having a set associative format that an amount of power consumption is increased by data to be read in a way causing an error because there is a condition of cache error in at least one way irrespective of cache hit and cache error and data is read in a data array in all the ways and only the way causing hit is outputted in a conventional method. SOLUTION: A hit/error determination signal line 130 transmitting a hit/error determination signal S hm generated by a comparator 106 of a tag array 101 to a word line selector 134 in the data array 131 is provided. Data reading of a memory call array 132 in the data array 131 is in a standby condition until the hit/error determination signal S hm indicates cache hit, and reading of data in the data array 131 is permitted when the hit/error determination signal S hm indicates cache hit.</p> |
