PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounted crystal oscillator that is capable of accurate frequency adjustment without causing characteristics failure and a decrease in reliability. SOLUTION: The crystal oscillatior comprises a first container 2 having an opening on the upper surface, a second container 3 that seals the opening of the first container 2 by its lower surface and has an opening on the upper surface, a lid body 10 for sealing the opening of the second container 3, an electronic component element 4 accommodated in the first container 2, a quartz oscillator 5 accommodated in the second container 3, and a load capacity component consisting of a first and a second electrodes that are arranged so that they are opposed to each other while sandwiching the first container between the bottom surface and the lower surface of the first container 2.
