PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a coil part mounted on a circuit board markedly in effective size and to improve the circuit board markedly in layout density of chips in a chip inductor comprising a coil of conductor pattern on the board mounted with the coil. SOLUTION: A chip inductor is composed of a coil formed of a conductor pattern on a board 11 and electrodes which are formed on conductor lands of a circuit board and connected to terminals of the coil in a surface-mounting manner, the board 11 is formed of a magnetic substance, and coils 1 and 2 formed of conductor patterns 20 are provided on both surfaces of the magnetic board 11.
