PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately, easily and inexpensively provide detailed information regarding a commodity or the like by acquiring and displaying the information regarding the commodity or the like from an information source on the basis of identification information included in a code number added to a reading code such as a bar code attached to the commodity or the like and inputted in a portable terminal. SOLUTION: The portable terminal is provided with an input means of inputting the code number added to the reading code, a display means and a speech communication means, and it can be connected with a network. A server is connected to the network and it provides the information corresponding to the reading code. When the portable terminal is connected to a site and the code number is sent to the site, the information is sent to the portable terminal, and it is displayed on the display means or outputted in speech by the speech communication means. |
