PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory medium socket for detecting insertion error before it becomes impossible to take it out. SOLUTION: The memory medium socket comprises: an insertion path 12 of an IC card 1a; a proper contact part 13 brought into contact with a tip electrode 1b of the IC card 1a properly inserted into the insertion path 12; and an improper contact part 14 brought into contact with the tip electrode 1b of the IC card 1a reversely inserted into the insertion path 12 at a position in front of the contact position of the proper contact part 13. When the tip electrode 1b of the IC card 1a is brought into contact with the improper contact part 14, a reverse insertion signal S2 is outputted. |
