OPTICAL SCANNER

PURPOSE: An optical scanner is provided to print at a high speed using a scan lens of a simple structure and an optical deflector of a small size by making an optical flux vertically incident on a deflection surface of the optical deflector. CONSTITUTION: A collimator lens(102) makes a laser beam from a semiconductor laser(101) into a parallel beam with respect to an optical axis. A cylindric lens(103) makes a laser beam passing the collimator lens(102) into a linear beam of a horizontal direction with respect to a sub scan direction. A laser beam guide part(104) makes a laser beam of a linear beam shape passing the cylindric lens(103) vertically incident on a deflection surface of an optical deflector(105) on the basis of a main scan plane. The optical deflector(105) deflects a reflection direction of the laser beam passing the laser beam guide part. A scan lens(106) outputs a laser beam incident from the laser beam guide part through a lens center.
