PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of propagation delays and noise, in a switching mode power supply having multiple outputs. SOLUTION: In order to start a post-regulator lamp, a preceding start signal predicts the start and the finish of a power cycle and drives all the secondary rectifier switches at optimum timings, in order to minimize both the cross conduction and the body diode conduction. All the whole range regulations which can be practiced by a main output, even if an auxiliary output is under low load conditions is provided. The start and finish of the power cycle are predicted, by using a series of pulses generated by the feedback loop of the main output. As a result of such a constitution, a circuit can prepare for the start switch of the power cycle and the problem caused by the propagation delay characteristics of the circuit can be avoided.
