PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simulate and realize various storage disk functions that can be mobile booting-up equipment for a host computer system by providing a semiconductor storage device. SOLUTION: This multifunction semiconductor storage device connected to the host computer system through a general purpose interface bus is provided with a semiconductor storage media module (1) and a controller module (2). The controller module (2) is provided internally with a general purpose interface control module (21), and a microprocessor and controller module (22). Various device class protocols can be realized at an interface application layer of the semiconductor storage device, which makes it possible to simulate and realize storage functions of various storage disks. One or a plurality of storage spaces are opened up in the semiconductor storage media, one type or a plurality of types of memory disks are supported by the same device, and a hot plug is carriable.
