PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restart a function retrieval from the interrupted point of time when the function retrieval is interrupted on the way of function retrieval by a keyword. SOLUTION: A storage device section 4 is provided with a key entry storage section 41 that stores data entered from a key entry section 1, a function name storage section 42 that stores various function names provided to a mobile telephone set, and first and second function displaying data storage sections 43, 44 that perform retrieval by a keyword and store data of a result of keyword retrieval. While shifting a data point of a keyword stored in the key entry storage section 41, retrieval is made, the newest retrieval result is stored in either of the first and second function displaying data storage sections 43, 44, and data up to a succeeding data point are compared with the retrieval result stored in either of them. Then the retrieval result is stored in the other of them. Alternately repeating the storage while shifting the data point of the keyword can sequentially narrow down the retrieval result.
