SOLUTION: A system is composed of a meta-data transmitting device 1 for transmitting meta-data related to contents and the meta-data receiving device for receiving the meta-data, and the meta-data transmitting device 1 generates and transmits the meta-data in an original format or general format usable separately from the contents on the receiving side. The meta-data receiving device receives these meta-data and utilizes the received meta-data over a plurality of contents.
