PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit for employing block matching to detect a motion vector that prevents a memory capacity used for detecting the motion vector or the number of data transfer times from being increased in each of multi- stages caused by interleaving data. SOLUTION: While the internal memory capacity is suppressed into a data capacity after image data interleaving, an interpolation pixel generating section 103 generates image data after interleaving, interpolated image data are used to detect a motion vector so as to eliminate the need for data transfer in each of multi-stages for motion vector detection thereby reducing the power consumption.
