PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small, economic and efficient bulb with a few number of light emitting diodes assembled and a device for converting commercial voltage into DC voltage in a general commercial-voltage base of the bulb. SOLUTION: The bulb comprises a board 10 having the plurality of light emitting diodes arranged thereon and a board 20 for a voltage-drop and voltage- control circuit, a rectifying circuit and a smoothing circuit. The board 10 is connected in series with the few number of light emitting diodes 25. Components used for the board 20 are all chip type components. The board 20 is assembled on the lower side of the base of the bulb and the board 10 having the light emitting diodes arranged thereon is superimposed thereon in assembly. With the combination of the colors of the light emitting diodes assembled on the board 10, the bulb can be fabricated with various colors. The bulb can be formed simply by putting and adhering a light transmissive and directly covering article onto an opening 23 of the base. Since the base and the cover are simply constructed, the bulb can be fabricated with various shapes. |
