PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser output control method of an optical disk recording/ reproducing device performing the recording/reproducing operation of a single with respect to the disk by an optical pickup. SOLUTION: The device is constituted of a photoreceptor 1 for main beam, which is irradiated with the main beam reflected from the disk surface and composed of quadri-sected A-part, B-part, C-part and D-part, a photodetector 2 for 1st sub-beam, which is irradiated with the 1st sub-beam reflected from the disk surface and composed of bisected E-part and F-part, and a photodetector 3 for 2nd sub-beam, which is irradiated with the 2nd sub-beam reflected from the disk surface and composed of bisected G-part and H-part, then the offset amount is detected by signals obtained from the A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H parts constituting each of the above photodetectors in the ON state of the tracking servo which make the light beam follow up the track, and the laser output is controlled in accordance with this offset amount. |
