PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find mistake of an operator in a short period of time and prevent malfunctions of a device in advance. SOLUTION: The interface device comprises: a MAC (Media Access Controller) 5 connected to a first database network 4 or a second database network; a local processor 6; a data bus 11 interposed between the MAC 5 and the local processor 6; a link control unit 13; a count unit 15 that counts the number of the accumulated error packets; and a link-up discrimination unit 18 that receives a link setup signal 8 outputted from the link control unit 13. The link-up discrimination unit 18 transmits a link interrupt signal 16 to the link control unit 13 when the accumulated errors exceed a threshold to interrupt the data bus 11. The interface discriminates that the mistake by the operator is a connection mistake on the basis of the number of error packets caused without fail when a connection error exists so as to immediately find out the connection mistake. Thus, the interface can avoid occurrence of malfunctions after that in advance.
