In a cam and lever type steering mechanism in which one or more studs 40 engaging in a cam groove 18 of a worm 20 on the steering shaft are rotatably supported in an arm 10 on the rocker shaft the studs 40 are each mounted in a double row of tapered rollers 36, 38 on which a resilient preloading is imposed by a dished spring 54 which acts through a thrust washer 50 on the ends of one row of rollers.</p> |
