摘要 PURPOSE: An electrochromic display device is provided to use titanium oxide film and both lithium ions and hydrogen ions as proton ions in an electrolyte, thereby obtaining transparent and economical electrochromic display device without losing the high resistance against the deterioration with respect to the electrolyte of the hydrogen titanium oxide film. CONSTITUTION: An electrochromic display device includes a first ITO glass layer(A), an electrochromic layer(B), an electrolyte layer(C), a counter electrode layer(D) and a second ITO glass layer(E). The counter electrode layer is formed by depositing a titanium pure metal on the ITO glass layer, oxidizing the titanium pure metal into a titanium oxide by carrying out anode-oxidation reaction in an oxide solution, and carrying out cathode-reduction reaction in a solution containing hydrogen ions for charging the hydrogen ions.
