PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harness slack absorbing apparatus for fixing an elastic member without using fixing tools and at the same time reducing the costs by reducing the number of components. SOLUTION: A protector base 23 and a protector cover 24 are assembled to compose a protector case 21, a leaf spring 29 where a base edge section 29a is fixed and a wire harness 32 that is wired along the lead spring 29 are accommodated in the protector case 21, and the slack in the wire harness 32 is absorbed by the deflection deformation of the free end side of the leaf spring 29 according to tension operating on the wire harness 32 in the harness slack absorbing apparatus. In the harness slack absorbing apparatus, a pinching section 26 having a pinching groove 26a where the base edge section 29a of the leaf spring 29 is inserted is provided at the protector base 23. A press section 27 for pressing the base edge section 29a of the leaf spring 29 that is pinched by the pinching section 26 is provided at the protector cover 24. The base edge section 29a of the elastic member 29 is fixed by the pinching section 26 and the pressing section 27.
