PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable electric field emission type electron source element without current reduction even if the element operates at a high current density for a long time. SOLUTION: An insulation layer including a plurality of openings formed on a substrate 11, a lead-out electrode formed on the insulation layer, an electric field emission type electron source array part composed of a plurality of cathodes formed on the substrates in the plurality of opening parts, a cathode structure body 12 fixing the electric field emission type electron source array part, and an electronic lens part 13 composed of a plurality of electrode members accelerating and converging electron beam emitted from the electric field emission type electron source array part are provided. An off-axis system in which an emission axis (Ax1) of electron beam emitted from the electric field emission type electron source array part and an optical axis (Ax2) of the electronic lens part have designated angles is constituted.
