PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shading correcting circuit in which a series of processing can be carried out in a short time even when image data to be handled are enlarged. SOLUTION: This circuit is composed of an SHD reduction part 1 for dividing an image composed of (p) pixels×(q) lines from a camera into predetermined m×n blocks each composed of (i) pixels×(i) lines (i<p, i<q) and reducing the image into image data composed of m×n blocks, a CPU 7 as a shading correction data generating part for generating the shading correction data composed of m×n blocks from the image data composed of m×n blocks reduced in this reduction part 1, an enlargement part 3 for enlarging the shading correction data composed of m×n blocks to shading correction data composed of (p) pixels×(q) lines, and an SHD operating part 4 for multiplying these shading correction data composed of (p) pixels×(q) lines and the image data of pixels in positions corresponding to the image data composed of (p) pixels×(q) lines from the camera.
