PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for an electronic part capable of accurately and certainly carrying out a measurement work without deforming a lead when an electric characteristic of the electronic part having a thin lead terminal and weak mechanical strength such as a disc type varistor is measured. SOLUTION: In the socket for an electronic part, two pairs of opposed conducive curved spring terminals and conductive curved pressurizing spring terminals are provided on a base body comprising an insulation material at a right/left symmetry. The socket has a contact operation switch between two pairs of curved pressurizing spring terminals and curved pressurizing spring terminals provided at the light/left symmetry and has a structure that the electronic part is disposed over the contact operation switch. The socket has a structure that the conductive curved pressurizing spring terminals are interlocked so as to be displaced to a pressurization contact position and a contact release position by vertically moving the electronic part disposed over the contact operation switch or the contact operation switch.
