PURPOSE: A tubular workpiece notching device for general purpose grinding operations is provided to simply perform both process for notching tubular workpieces and for the general purpose grinding operations and to reduce manufacturing cost by performing notching and grinding operations with one device. CONSTITUTION: A tubular workpiece notching device for general purpose grinding operations has a worktable(1) of which a base plate is pivotally mounted to a frame(6) of the notching device around a pivotal orthogonal axis(Y-Y) to move the worktable from a first working position engaged with a shaping pulley(3) in which a device vise(2) forms grooves to both ends of tubular workpiece by grinding, to a second working position in which the shaping pulley is used for generally grinding a workpiece. Connecting device is installed to the first working position to detachably fix the base plate of the worktable to the frame.
