PURPOSE: A gear shift cable for an automatic transmission of a vehicle is provided to restrict noise through the cable into a vehicle room, and to prevent vibration from being transmitted to a shift lever by indirectly connecting a connecting pin to a connecting rod through an insulating member. CONSTITUTION: A gear shift cable for an automatic transmission is composed of a cable body having a wire connected to a turning lever of a shift lever and an operating lever of the transmission, and a cover surrounding the wire movably; a fixing member having a fixing piece(36) including a through hole(36a) inserting a bushing(38), and fastening the cable body in an installation bracket; and a connecting unit fastening the cable body in a fixing bracket. The connecting unit has a connecting piece fixing the end of the cable body, a casing cap fixed in the end of the connecting piece, a connecting pipe fixed in the casing cap and the bracket of the transmission, a connecting rod inserting the wire of the cable body and fitting to the connecting pipe, and an insulating member preventing vibration and noise from the transmission from being transmitted to the shift lever. |
