PURPOSE: A system and method for intermediating a financial transaction based on a position is provided to sell commodities within a limited time for supplying a specific commodity or service actively by enabling a user to purchase a commodity by a wireless communication during a limited time. CONSTITUTION: In the case that a wireless terminal user uses a specific commodity or service, a position checking unit(102) checks whether the user stays in a specific place capable of using the commodity or service through a position chasing system. A user authentication unit(104) checks whether the wireless terminal user is a normal user for executing a financial transaction. The user inputs a financial institution and an account number to be used for using the specific commodity or service through a financial transaction approval unit(106) in accordance with checking results of the position checking unit(102) and the user authentication unit(104). The financial transaction approval unit(106) connects to the financial institution and checks the balance of the user. If the transaction is available within the balance, the financial transaction approval unit(106) enables the user to use the specific commodity or service.
