PURPOSE: An apparatus for inspecting a sample taken from a welding portion of a steel plate is provided to prevent a worker from being damaged and to obtain a precise inspecting result by automatically inspecting the sample taken from the welding portion of the steel plate. CONSTITUTION: An inspecting apparatus includes a supporting member(20) installed at the center of a lower knife, which cuts both peripheral sides of a welding portion of a steel plate. A punch(30) is inserted into an inner center portion of the supporting member(20) in order to bend a sample while moving up and down by means of a lifting cylinder(31). A fixing rod is positioned at both lower sides of an insertion hole formed at the center of an upper knife. A withdrawing section(50) is provided to withdraw the sample fixed to the fixing rod. An inspecting device(70) is installed at an upper portion of the withdrawing section(50). The sample, which has been inspected, is conveyed to other stage by means of a conveying plate(81).
